It had been a while since we heard the name Code And Theory thrown around, and well, we actually didn’t hear the name thrown around at all, sometimes you just don’t have to, because the work speaks for itself. That’s exactly the case here. We came across a site we loved, did a little investigating and found out it was our friends over at C&T. Now that’s proper marketing.

“MUTO - an ambiguous animation painted on public walls” is the latest short film by Blu. This amazing short was made in Buenos Aires and in Baden.

We are not sure why it took us this long to feature one of our favorite designers, Piotr “The Hejz” Jaworowski. His work is Beautiful, Brilliant, and Perfect…all with capital letters, yes. A while back we did mention that he is part of the Redkroft collective. He also runs his own design studio called Ars Thanea based in the Polish capital, Warsaw. We take our hats off to this genius designer!

Tronic Studio leverage their various backgrounds as architects, designers and art directors to establish a collective fusing of ideas, images, movement and experience in their brilliant work. They seem to be in a league of their own. We are eagerly awaiting to see their portfolio updated with some new work.

Lots of great hand-drawn illustration and experimental work from the 6 creatives that make up Design Bureau Proekt, a small Russian studio founded by Roman Krikheli.

25ah is the work of Swedish designers Dana Bergquist and Jacqueline Jacoel. Very clean and rigid graphic design that will never go out of style. We can’t get enough of this!

Dixonbaxi is a London based creative company founded by the award winning team of Simon Dixon and Aporva Baxi. There is a massive amount of great work on this site—just beware that it’s 100% image-mapped—so there might be areas that don’t show up with hand icons that are click-able!

surpy.co.uk serves as the online portfolio and showcase of young aspiring illustrator from the UK by the name Craig Shields. We hope to see more new work from this talent.

No, it’s not our sister site, although it could be. These guys have been around since 2001… but we just found them! Is the design world that big?

Hellofreaks is a Graphic Design Studio based in Paris, France. It is led by Graphic Designer & Illustrator Jerome Castro who is also the guy behind Byjerome.com. Check out the consistent color treatment and incredible illustration technique. Great!

Onesize is a Dutch based motion studio that just “gets it”. You know what we’re talking about. Some people get it, some don’t. Just like Onesize does NOT fit all. Huh? Just check out this work and figure it out.

Generator.x focuses on a new generation of artists and designers who embrace code as a way of producing new forms of creative expression. Generator.x was actually started as a conference and touring exhibition by founder Marius Watz, but with all that content, it would be stupid not to build a blog around it, right?

Typeworkshop.com originated from workshops given by Underware during the last few years. (Most of the stuff on the site derives from these workshops). Support this killer resource! They are doing a great thing to sustain the art of typography. If you can’t participate, at least visit the site and comment on past projects.

Jim Parkinson has probably designed more magazine and newspaper nameplates than any other designer on earth. Some of his designs have become true icons, like the logos he made for Rolling Stone, the quintessential American rock magazine. As part of their Creative Characters - The Faces Behind the Fonts series, MyFonts have published an interview with Jim Parkinson in their April 2008 issue. Check it out.

James Joyce is an artist and designer. He lives in London. He makes pretty drawings that you think are easy but they aren’t. He runs a one-man studio called “One Fine Day” and gets paid to do what he loves by big clients. Jealous yet?

UK based Steve Wilson takes the spirit of 80’s New York, combines rock imagery from the 70’s, and squeezes it through a brain full of circuses and tribal body art, among other things. This is super hot and you can’t afford to pass it up. Just go!

Get Out And Play is the latest stop motion creation from Sweden’s digital creative agency Farfar and the production company Hobbyfilm. If you like this, also check out the behind-the-scenes of the human recreation of the most played computer game ever, Snakes.

Boris Schandert, aka BOODAS, is a Graphic Designer and Typographer from Munich, Germany. He is working on a couple of great new font types as well as his own online apparel store. Boris was recently featured in the March edition of Computer Arts. Check out his great work.

The April 2008 edition of French online magazine Querelle is out now and loaded with photographs, photo montages, illustrations, and graphic design collages from a number of talented artists. Check it out!

Bunch was established in 2002 by Denis Kovac and Paulo Silva. It spread organically from London to Zagreb and then to Singapore. Talented friends joined, and the union formed the multi-disciplinary design agency that is the Bunch of today.

Bunch have a very creative approach to involving the design community in what they do. They have set up this collaborative project titled Made in Bunch where other designers are invited to get funky with the Bunch logo identity.

“Our Made in Bunch identity adventure is finally coming to a close after one year and over 450 contributions. We’ve had entries from the best, including Paul Davis, Carlos Segura, Ed Fella, Jonathan Ellery, Malcolm Garrett, Paul Insect, Stefan Sagmeister, and Jethro Haynes, to name a mere few. All contributions can be seen on madeinbunch.com.”

Jethro Haynes lives in London and produces some crazy cool work with a very original and creative style. Check it out!

FAIRspot has recently been involved with a major copyright infringement lawsuit regarding one of our latest ideas, “Design Idol”. The entire premise of the show is based on the popular American Idol, but for designers—and judged by some of the biggest names in design. We pitched a pilot to the Bravo Network (makers of Project Runway), last Fall and things were looking very promising until early this year.

In January we received a “Cease and Desist” letter from the Fox Network (makers of Idol), telling us we were legally not able to do the show. Well, we don’t give up that easy! With some help from our friends in high places (you know who you are!), we were able to score some very public exposure on some of the major news networks. The fight’s not over yet though, this is an ongoing battle and we need YOUR support!

Be sure to watch us on the Larry King LIVE show tonight! The interview has aired in some countries already but will air in the U.S. and Europe tonight. Check your local schedule. This art studio has been around for 4 years now and specializes in graphic design and illustration, as well as motion graphics, product design and TV commercials. We like the quality of work by these guys! Worth checking out!

Diftype is the work of Niklas Lundberg, a young and talented graphic designer from Sweden. Niklas has great attention to detail and an original thought process that can make any project sweet. Can’t wait to see more new work!
