Some people are good at everything visual. Richard Bacon is one such example. He does it all and does it all really well - from photo retouching to web design, from branding to graphic design, from illustration to art direction. Check out his online portfolio UnkeptStudio and see if you agree with us.

Troika is a multi-disciplinary art and design practice founded in 2003 by Conny Freyer, Eva Rucki and Sebastien Noel, who met while studying at the Royal College of Art in London.
The Troika team develops a variety of self-initiated and commissioned projects that are both engaging and demanding to the user, from printed matter to product design and custom art installations. Our approach focuses on the contamination between the arts and design disciplines and is born out of the same love for simplicity, playfulness, and an essential desire for provocation.

We really like the mission behind Colorcubic, a Portland-based design studio that really makes you think about what you’re working for.
Colorcubic’s ultimate goal is to help restructure the edifice in which societies and environments suffer, and simultaneously market multi-disciplinary forms of media as a source of raising capital for such purposes.

Can’t believe we haven’t featured Hatch before… but this is a must-know and must-watch studio. Joel Templin (formally of Templin-Brink) and Katie Jain, form the dynamic duo that creates highly recognizable styles for all your favorite brands. I’m sure they have an update coming soon (right guys?), so be on the lookout for all their ‘08 work!

Roger Black was recently featured in the new STEP Inside design mag, but he’s no stranger to the scene. Roger’s track record is by far one of the greatest among living designers, including the re-designs of Newsweek, Esquire and Reader’s Digest (not to mention Discovery.com, BarnesandNoble.com and MSNBC.com).
Roger is also responsible for the Bloomberg site, The Font Bureau and Danilo Black. Now that’s dedication to the game!
