YCN serves as a platform from which interested parties can discover new work, share content, self-promote, find and list events, buy creative products and discover new opportunities. No, it’s not our sister site, although it could be. These guys have been around since 2001… but we just found them! Is the design world that big?
Also check out Agency YCN! It’s one big ball of creativity over there!

Generator.x focuses on a new generation of artists and designers who embrace code as a way of producing new forms of creative expression. Generator.x was actually started as a conference and touring exhibition by founder Marius Watz, but with all that content, it would be stupid not to build a blog around it, right?

Bunch was established in 2002 by Denis Kovac and Paulo Silva. It spread organically from London to Zagreb and then to Singapore. Talented friends joined, and the union formed the multi-disciplinary design agency that is the Bunch of today.
Bunch have a very creative approach to involving the design community in what they do. They have set up this collaborative project titled Made in Bunch where other designers are invited to get funky with the Bunch logo identity.
“Our Made in Bunch identity adventure is finally coming to a close after one year and over 450 contributions. We’ve had entries from the best, including Paul Davis, Carlos Segura, Ed Fella, Jonathan Ellery, Malcolm Garrett, Paul Insect, Stefan Sagmeister, and Jethro Haynes, to name a mere few. All contributions can be seen on madeinbunch.com.”

We love a good advertisement, so obviously we’re going to dig seeing all the best ads in one place, along with several international ads we would have never seen. Ads of the World gives you all the best ads along with full-size versions to view all the details we really want to see. Now if only the ads cluttering this site were as good as the others!

UPDATE: Apparently CNN removed the Simon Cowell video per a request from the Fox Network. Lame!!
FAIRspot has recently been involved with a major copyright infringement lawsuit regarding one of our latest ideas, “Design Idol”. The entire premise of the show is based on the popular American Idol, but for designers—and judged by some of the biggest names in design. We pitched a pilot to the Bravo Network (makers of Project Runway), last Fall and things were looking very promising until early this year.
In January we received a “Cease and Desist” letter from the Fox Network (makers of Idol), telling us we were legally not able to do the show. Well, we don’t give up that easy! With some help from our friends in high places (you know who you are!), we were able to score some very public exposure on some of the major news networks. The fight’s not over yet though, this is an ongoing battle and we need YOUR support!
Be sure to watch us on the Larry King LIVE show tonight! The interview has aired in some countries already but will air in the U.S. and Europe tonight. Check your local schedule. CNN will provide a website poll during the show where you can vote with your opinion. We just ask that you vote for us! Viva la FAIRspot and Design Idol!

Fresh work. check. Mandatory NY and LA offices. check. Design collective that kicks serious ass. check. Volumeone and Athletics are bringing new flavor to the game. Watch out!

Hard Format was created by Justin Amphlett and Colin Buttlmer to archive their love of great music packaging. This ongoing collection is fantastic!

Brothers Don and Ryan Clark, co-founders of the now defunct Asterik Studio, have combined to create Invisible Creature, “The design studio of the millennium”. Get more insight into the Invisible lifestyle from The Creature Speaks.
Thank Heavy-Backback for the reminder!

One of our favorites, Odopod, updates with new work in great style. You can also stay up-to-date with the crew via the Odoblog. Yeah!

No, Artless doesn’t have a major update, but the work is worth going back to time and again. Also worth a visit is Manmaru, an awesome Japanese interactive designer and the man responsible for the Artless web experience. Yah!
